Somedays, well most days I feel like I have nothing to wear. I stand in my closet for what is probably just a matter of minutes but feels like hours staring at my clothes in hopes that something pops out at me. Unless there is some magical spell that I don’t know about I need to get over the fact that my clothes will never jump out at me and just learn to make quicker decisions.

Lately, for those days when I actually need to make a quick decision I have been going with monochromatic looks. Basically I take garments in my closet that are of the same hue (color family) and pair them together.

Since green is my favorite color and I was in a rush this particular day I decided to pull together an all green ensemble. It was quick, easy and I personally love the color but love the overall monochromatic look that is created when you pair lots of greens together. In a (very) weird way I think it works. I mean we all know that it works when you pair all black together, why not try and mix it u every now and again with something like all green (or the color of your choice).

I have decided to try and challenge myself and do this with other colors….blue, pink and maybe even red. Maybe you should do the same? Or at least practice at home (like I do) and then one day you get the nerve (or you just run out of time) and wear it outside the house!
