Last month we moved houses which was really the beginning of my spring cleaning obsession. I feel like every year around this time, I feel like I get my life in order. Last year I blame the spring cleaning on ‘nesting’ (I was 7 months pregnant) and this year I am going to credit it to the move.

Regardless of the ‘reason’ for my spring cleaning obsession year after year, I really don’t think it’s a bad thing to take time to get everything organized and sorted. You are past the holiday fog and about to head into sweet summer. Spring is the perfect time where the world seems to slow down for a blink of an eye, which for me means extra moments to tackle my spring to do lists!

As someone who is always looking for a good deal (have you seen my weekly sale posts?), before the move I wanted to start fresh with home related goods. Specifically, our vacuum. We bought a vacuum when we first got married (almost 7 years ago), so I thought with the new house, we should start fresh. I asked around to see what vacuum would be a good buy and everyone said the same thing, “this brand is amazing but it’s so expensive”.

After I did a little more research, I realized that it was true..vacuums are quite expensive! I was at coffee with a friend around the same time I was deciding which vacuum to purchase and she said she had just gotten her BRAND NEW vacuum from eBay. I was kind of confused because totally honest, I had not thought to purchase from eBay but she informed me that 80% of their items are brand new and I would probably be able to get a REALLY good deal.

Since I wanted a good deal and a great product, eBay seemed like a great fit so I did a little hunting. Come to find out, eBay sells vacuums up to 50% off top brands like Dyson (the one that I ended up getting), Shark and Bissell. I ended up ordering this Dyson vacuum from eBay and we have been SO happy with it. It’s brand new and a fraction of the price if I were to purchase from anyone else!

I highly recommend taking a look at eBay for your spring cleaning needs (or wants). You are guaranteed to find something from eBay that will fit your spring cleaning needs!
