Happy 2023. It truly is hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I feel like I have blinked and so much has happened. Last week we were at dinner with friends and we went around the table and everyone picked a “word of the year”. If you’re not familiar with what a word of the year is, it is where you pick a word (aka a goal) to hopefully describe your year. Everything from “yes”, “content”, “selfish”, “growth” and “health” were mentioned.
My word of the year was “organized”. I know, LOL, me wanting to work on organization because I am openly say I am VERY organized but it really is something that is a major goal for me this year. I want to improve and get even better! From family, to the new house, to work, overall there is a lot going on and I just want to make it as seamless as possible for my family while not spreading myself to thin and getting overwhelmed. I figured if I said out loud that my 2023 goal was to be oraganized, it would hold me accountable! Do you have a word of the year? If yes, I would love to know about it (and I am sure others would love to read and learn from your words!)
As we start the new year, I wanted to say how grateful I am for each and every one of you and thank you for following along all these years. HNY. xx
Life Lately

Wow. It is truly hard to believe that we are just a couple days away from October. Before I give you all a “quick” life update, I wanted to apologize for being so absent in this space. Since starting this little corner of the internet 11 1/2 years so much has life has happened and I feel like now with two (small) children, this space has taken somewhat of an unplanned backseat. While that was *not* the plan, after many of the DM’s and e-mails I have received from you all asking for me to continue posting, I have made a promise to myself (and to you all) to be more consistent.
That being said, a quick version of what has been going on in 2022 is lots of travel, we sold our home, bought (and are currently renovating) our dream house, Ralph turned 5, Vivienne turned 2, we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary and are truly in what most call “full swing fall mode”. The kids are busier than ever (yes, I know it will get even busier) and most days I blink and ask myself how it is already bedtime again!
Make sure to keep checking back here, as I am going to be better about updating! Also, you can always follow along on Instagram (@AmyHavins), as I am constantly updating on stories. Have the loveliest Thursday. xx
