There is nothing worse than being stressed about what to wear. Especially when you are in a rush, don’t feel the ‘best’ or just don’t feel like like putting in effort. Thankfully, my favorite combination of a statement white blouse, a great pair of denim and a classic pump is the most effortless and chic look.

Last week I was in New York for 24 hours attending the Lela Rose fashion show during New York Fashion Week with Mary Kay. Talk about wardrobe pressure. Between being around the models, fashion editors, creatives and the ‘who’s who’ of the fashion industry; I would be lying if I said that I was not a little concerned with my outfit.

Before the show started I got to go backstage with the Mary Kay team to see all of the models in hair/make up (more details about that to come in a different post). I knew I would be running around, so I wanted to be comfortable in my outfit yet still look polished enough when I attended the Lela Rose fashion show.

Although I kept a spare pair of flats in my bag to wear while backstage, I decided to wear these pretty tweed Ferragamo pumps with my jeans and pleated white blouse. Totally honest, I have never felt so comfortable in an outfit. Maybe it was that the pleated white blouse was more than forgiving, or the jeans I had on were some of my most comfortable or that these Ferragamo pumps really took my classic look up a notch. Either way, this classic combination (specifically the pleated white blouse), is one of my favorites and knowing that it will never go out of style makes me love it even more.
