This fall one of my favorite accessories has been the floppy hat. I will admit that I was a little apprehensive to try out a floppy hat. I had always associated the floppy hat as that ‘too cool’ accessory that I was nervous to try.

After popping into my {new} favorite boutique, Hampden Clothing, in Charleston, South Carolina last month, thanks to the help of the owner Stacy I knew that I needed to add a floppy hat to my wardrobe. Even though it took me a minute to get used to wearing a floppy hat it is now one of my favorite accessories in my closet.

One of my favorite things about the floppy hat is that it works on good hair days and works even better on bad hair days. I cannot tell you how many days I didn’t feel like re-fixing my hair so I just threw on my floppy hat! The floppy hat is the chic accessory that really completes even the most casual look. If you are apprehensive about the floppy hat (like I used to be), I would recommend just trying it…at least once, I guarantee you will be a new fan!
