Like most of you, I have a bucket list of things that I want to do/see/accomplish at some point in my life. While some things on my bucket list are more serious than others, there are quite a few line items that are fun things that may or may not ever happen and I am so ok with that.

One of the many things on my bucket list was to take photos in an evening gown with the Eiffel Tower as my backdrop. Yes, I know this particular item on my list is quite specific. To most of you this bucket list item sounds beyond ridiculous but like anyone with a list you know that the majority of the items are just on there and may or may not happen…usually falling into the ‘if it’s meant to be it’ll happen’ category.

If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat you know that a couple of months ago I was in a dress fitting with Nardos. Nardos and I have stayed in touch ever since she made this blue and white gown I wore last summer in Ibiza and she wanted to meet again to design a gown that I would eventually wear to something special. Being such a blue and white lover, Nardos knew this would be the inspiration again but other than that I let Nardos ‘do her thing’.

Remember how I said that some things are just meant to be? Well, just before my last fitting with Nardos for this blue and white gown a couple of weeks ago, I got a call from a good friend asking if I wanted to go to Paris last minute. Of course I checked the calendar and my husband had a golf tournament so he would be golfing the majority of the time I would be out of town, so I said I was for sure in. I mean girls trip to Paris? Pinch me, I’m dreaming. Yes please! I immediately knew that I now had a place to wear this gown I was about to have my last fitting for…in front of the Eiffel Tower. Dream, dream, dream.

Although this will not be the only time I wear this Nardos blue and white (bleu et blanc) gown, it was so much fun to carry it across the world and wear it on a Monday morning in Paris. To say that I got more than a few looks in an understatement but when you want that perfect picture and to check something off your bucket list, you do what you have to do.
