This last new years was probably my favorite new years in a long time. Semi-last minute we rented a house with friends in Laguna Beach (a place either of us had ever been) for a few days of relaxing. We had amazing meals (230 Forest and Nick’s are a must), spent time walking around the town of Laguna Beach and of course went to the beach to enjoy the sunsets.
After a few days with friends Wade and I thought it would be fun to drive up to Newport and stay at Pelican Hill so he could golf and we could do a little more relaxing. Having not ever been to Pelican Hill before, we had only heard good things and honestly all of those ‘good things’ didn’t even compare to how the resort really was. It was SO beautiful and our bungalow was a dream. We had lots of room service, went golfing one day and even made it to Mastro’s on the last night for a delicious meal and of course their famous butter cake! Such a perfect way to ring in the new year!
