I know this is an obvious statement but layers are necessary when temps are freezing. Spending a long weekend in NYC = lots and lots of layers. Layering can be tricky because even though you might be warm it doesn’t always come out looking out put together.

When I saw this French Connection dress around the holidays I knew it would be an easy dress to wear on a hot day with a strappy pump and also on freezing days with tights and boots and the occasional layered turtle neck. I also really liked the the paint check print on the dress. This spring one of the big trends that is being shown is white with black. Though this trend is more of a classic to me, I know it will keep me wearing this dress throughout the spring & putting together more outfits incorporating with white with black from my current wardrobe.
