This post is in partnership with Macy’s.
If you read my blog on the regular, you saw this post that I did last month after my baby sister got engaged. After they got engaged they decided they wanted a semi-short engagement (6 months), so wedding planning has been in full swing.
In general, she is such an organized person, so planning her big day, has been easy for her. She made a point to knock out all the ‘big things’ like the venue, the dress, photographer, band and florist quickly so she could really just enjoy the process. From my previous engagement experience (7 years ago), I found that by doing the same thing made everything so much less stressful. You check off the things that are a bit more logistical at first and then you get to do the fun stuff…like register for your first home/apartment and plan the honeymoon!
The other day Margaret (my littlest sister) and I were talking on the phone and she asked where she should register. I told her that if I could suggest anything when it came to her wedding registry, it would be pick somewhere that everyone is familiar with and that carries everything from bedding to kitchen supplies. In summary, I told her Macy’s was the best place to register because they have everything that you could ever need out of a registry plus right now they are running a registry sweepstakes that is insane…today is the last day to enter to win $10,000 cash towards your wedding day, so make sure to keep reading!
Although the fact that Macy’s would be the perfect one stop shop for everything that she and her future husband could ever need, the other reasons I suggested to her that she should register at Macy’s was because they have exclusive products, they give perks and privileges (after you register, unlock numerous perks to save big for the big day. Score exclusive discounts on dresses, shoes, luggage, suits, & so much more), they offer a newlywed discount (20% off most remaining registry items for 6 months after the wedding…10% off furniture and mattress), the level of service they offer to their customers and my personal favorite…it’s the one-stop-wedding-shop (from your wardrobe to your kitchen, it really is THE place to get everything to start your new life together).
The best part about her deciding to register at Macy’s is that they are currently running a Registry Sweepstakes and by having a valid Macy’s registry (with a $500 minimum value), she has the chance to win $10,000 cash to go towards her wedding day! How amazing is that??? To register at the best place (where she would have registered regardless) AND have the chance to win $10,000 cash to put towards her wedding??? She was DYINGGGG when she found this out.
Even though I am not in the wedding registry phase, above I put together some of my current favorite things that I would be adding to my registry! I will say that my sister did add some of the items that I picked to her registry and she is so exited to get them!!
To all my brides to be…make sure to register at Macy’s, regardless if you are the winner, it really is the best place to register and today is the LAST DAY to enter!! See below for more rules on how you can have the chance to win $10,000 towards your big day!
