I know they always say in fashion that you are supposed to take risks but I never seem to get too far off the beaten path when it comes to my personal style. When it comes to my own personal style and my fashion risks I would say that my risks are minimal and I am always drawn to a more polished look.
When putting together an outfit for any occasion I like to think about where I am going, do I need to be anywhere after and of course what is the weather like. Since everything is back in full swing post holiday, I have been attending a lot of day time meetings. As someone who works from her home office full time, my ‘meeting attire’ is kind of minimal. Since I have need a few more polished & professional pieces for these get togethers I decided to head to Ann Taylor because they have the best selection of everything from business (ish) attire to beach dresses.
Not that I was surprised but I found so many great pieces that I can wear in more professional settings but also wear on a casual day or a fun night out. I love being able to walk in a store and having to edit because everything is SO good. I ended up going home with this jacket (which I have already worn the you know what out of), this perfect white blouse (perfect to pair with other things), this striped sweater (so cute, right?), these shoes and this pair of pants. Needless to say it was a success and I now have a few more pieces that I can still look like myself but the more professional version (if I need to be!).
