I am not even sure why we refer to our guest rooms as ‘a & b’ but we do. ‘Guest Room B’ is actually the room we lived in while we were doing phase one of our home renovations but it for sure did not not look as cute as it currently does. Guest room B is one of my favorite rooms in our house because it is so cozy. Not only does this room have a nice view of the backyard but it also is connected to baby Ralph’s room (it shares a shower and toilet with his room).

To keep this room cohesive with the rest of our house, we went stayed with the blue and white color scheme. As a big fan of blue and white (clearly), I love the way this space turned out because it is somewhat subtle but still flows with everything upstairs and downstairs. We really didn’t have to do a whole lot to the space besides paint the walls (they were green before), change the hardware in the sink area and remove the pendants above the sink to replace them with can lights. After the ‘maintenance’ to the room, we began decorating and after months of waiting on fabrics for drapes/bedskirt/headboard/pillows the room finally came together.

I did want to mention because I get a lot of questions about the pieces above each lamp. Wade and I actually made these when we lived in our first apartment. I went online (thank you google images), found two images we liked (one of Ralph Lauren & one of Jackie & John Kennedy) and printed them out. After that, we took the photos to our framer and had them matted and framed. This is a super cost effective way to fill a wall and it’s something that is one of a kind (literally).

Guest room B has come a long way since we first lived in it when we moved in the house and I could not be happier with the way this (now lovely) room turned out.
