One of the hardest changes I have had to make since I found out I was pregnant was decreasing my caffeine intake. For me, caffeine is my favorite (specifically coffee). Every morning Wade and I have a cup of coffee together, in the afternoons I always enjoy a little pick-me-up and in the evenings I love making a Wade’s Latte for dessert. Since you actually can have caffeine when you are pregnant, I opt for my normal cup of coffee in the morning with Wade, skip the afternoon cup and then enjoy a decaf Wade’s Latte in the evenings. Wade’s Latte’s have become quite a thing around our house so I thought it would be fun way to incorporate the way I told you guys that WE ARE HAVING A BOY!

A couple of weeks ago when I revealed that we were expecting our first baby mid-July I was SO excited to share the news with you all but in the back of my mind I was even more thrilled to share that we are having a boy! A BOY!! A little baby boy!!

There is something about finding out the gender of your baby that makes it seem so much more real. When I got the call from the nurse telling us that we were having a boy I have never been in more shock. Honestly, we were more shocked to find out it was a boy than when I figured out I was pregnant (if you read this post you know how SHOCKED we were).

For some reason Wade has ALWAYS said that we would have girls, so when I told him we were having a boy he could not believe it. He was not only so shocked (like me) but he was over the moon. Having grown up with two younger sisters, I am totally clueless about boys but I cannot wait to learn as much as possible! I know I am just going to love being a boy mom (eeeekkkk!).

Thank you all for the continued support and following along on my fun little journey to motherhood!

p.s. I cannot wait to show you all the cute baby boy clothes that I have already gotten!

Boys are so great!! I’m the mom of an almost 2 year old boy and they can be so sweet and so fun! You’ll love it!!!! And there are soooo many fun baby boy clothes!!! Small piece of advice, don’t take too many tags off the clothing till he arrives to make sure things will fit!

As an avid reader of your blog and Liz Adams’ blog ‘Sequins and Stripes’, Liz is a boy mom to a beautiful little boy named Charlie!! It has been so much watching her journey with Charlie and while I don’t know either of you personally, I believe she has some great perspective/ advice! Not to mention she is incredibly fashion forward as young mom and balances her personal time/ working out/ life with her husband in a way that makes it relatable and fun to her readers.

Definitely a great ‘boy mom’ resource– congrats again!! Wishing you lots of rest and a healthy/ happy several months leading up to July!!
