Now that we are just 28 days (or less) away from meeting our sweet baby Ralph, I have found myself trying to get as much done as possible. Everything from filling frames around the house with updated photos, to having the yard redone to ordering everything under the sun to ‘stock up’. Needless to say, I am in full nesting mode and have found myself doing everything possible to prepare for Ralph’s arrival.
One little project that I worked on the other week was preparing little goodie bags for all the nurses that will be taking care of us in the hospital. Having a best friend that is a nurse, I know how hard they work and how they continually go above and beyond. I know we will be in the hospital for a few days and I want to make sure they know how much we appreciate everything they do for us during the duration of our stay.
Since I am unsure how many nurses will be helping us around the clock, I ended up making 16 goodie bags (I would rather have more than not enough). I ordered these custom goodie bags and filled them with a $10 Starbucks gift card, orbit gum (my favorite) and a variety of candy. Since the bags of candy I ordered were MUCH larger than I thought they were, I plan to bring all of the extra candy to the hospital and have a little basket of candy for whomever is in and out of our room.
I did want to mention, that after I posted these personalized goodie bags on my Instagram stories, I got a couple of comments from saying that not all hospitals allow nurses to accept gifts. While this may be true for some, I did make sure to ask prior to putting together the bags and thankfully our hospital allows the nurses to accept little goodie bags!
I cannot wait to be able to give these cute goodie bags to all of our sweet nurses and of course for baby Ralph to be here!! I think it’s safe to say that the countdown is officially on!
