Before heading to New York last week I made a Zara run. Now that I think about it every time I am headed out of town I always make the trek (6 miles) to the mall where Zara is located in hopes of snatching up a few last minute items to throw in my suit case. My Zara trip was just as successful as I hoped it would be becuase one of the items I came home with was this mustard sleeveless sweater.

Two things you need to know about me: 1. I don’t own anything mustard (until now!) 2. This is my very first sleeveless sweater. Living in Dallas I have always thought the sleeveless sweater was not really necessary. I have always pictured one wearing this garment paired with jeans or shorts on the beach in northern California but I am going to go back on everything I have ever thought about this piece now.

You guys, the sleeveless sweater is my new obsession. It is that perfect piece that can be worn even on the coldest days because you can layer under a coat and not have to stuff your arms in the armholes (sweaters with arms add bulk!). Plus, it is always to hot anywhere you go in the winter because everyone is blasting the heaters! I cannot wait to add more of these to my wardrobe, so any suggestions on where to find more would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Your blog is super cute! I’ve followed it for a while and love your minimal and classic taste. I’m down here in Houston and feel the exact same about sleeveless sweaters. Ann Taylor and Loft make really nice ones and they hold up through the years. Hope this helps!

Super cute. I’ve been debating over buying that sleeveless sweater for a week now – definitely not ideal for the weather in NJ, but I love how you styled it!
