One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is entertain. I love getting dressed up, putting fresh flowers around the house, setting the table and cooking catering our favorite meals. I mean who doesn’t love a fun night in with friends and family?

One thing that I love to do before every holiday party or gathering at home (after making the necessary Pottery Barn run) is come up with one signature cocktail to serve. Having a signature cocktail makes it easy for guests to order their first drink when they arrive because it’s so nice to walk into any party when you are greeting everyone and just grab whatever is out for round one.

I teamed up with go-to place to get all of my entertaining needs, Pottery Barn, to share one of my favorite holiday (and year round) cocktail recipes. Since I am a Dallas girl I wanted to share one of my favorite & very Texan cocktails, The Skinny Margarita. If you know me at all or follow me on Instagram, you know that the husband and I love nothing more than Mexican food, so I thought sharing my own Skinny Margarita would only be appropriate.

Skinny Margarita Recipe

Ingredients:

-Ice

-2 shots of tequila (Espolon is my favorite)

-1 ounce of fresh squeezed lime juice (Whole Foods has the best)

-1 lime

-margarita salt

Directions:

-Fill cocktail shaker with ice; add tequila and fresh squeezed lime juice. Dampen martini glass and put the side in the margarita salt. Slice lime for garnish. Shake all of the ingredients together in cocktail shaker until chilled, strain into martini glass. Add lime garnish and enjoy!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season & happy entertaining! xx
